Technology for People - Developing Scientific Excellence and Enhancing Comprehensive Competence

TU Wien - located in the heart of Europe and Vienna – is the largest Austrian institution in research and education within the areas of technology and natural sciences. The beginnings of TU Wien reach back as far as 200 years. Today the University finds high international and domestic recognition in teaching as well as in research and is a highly esteemed partner of innovation oriented enterprises.
For years TU Wien has been successfully offering outstanding postgraduate programs. This success is also based on the top scientific and economic qualifications of its faculty.

IFM - Institute for Real Estate and Facility Management, TU Wien

Together with its partners from research and industry and with numerous research projects the institute established an interface between theory and practice. Cost saving and particularly possibilities of optimisation and quality assurance can be achieved by the application of Facility Management for companies.

Prof. Redlein as head of the Institute and his team put great emphasis upon the international networking. In its research, the CC:FM, closely works with international organizations from the private and public sector. Project partners include international companies such as Austro Control, Drogerie Markt, Tank & Rast, the public sector (eg Ministry of Finance, Oesterreichische Nationalbank) as well as the health care sector.

The IFM-Institute also organises the annual IFM Congress at the TU Wien in November.

REUG

The REUG – Real Estate User Group is a non-profit association, hosted at and sponsored by the Real Estate and Facility Management (IFM) at TU Wien.

It forms the link between practitioners and researchers of the real estate sector. The REUG provide answers to questions and problems of practitioners based on scientific studies. Furthermore suitable solutions for everyday tasks are presented.

Their regular events and activities are already well-known as a platform for networking, sharing expertise and best practices among Facility and Real Estate Management professionals. 

ImmoAbs (www.immoabs.at)

Similar to the alumni clubs in Anglo-American countries the graduates of the university programs real estate management founded the association ImmoAbs in the autumn of 2001. With the success of the programs the association steadily grows in number. The strategic background of all activities forms the systematic networking. The association offers its members the possibility to freely socialise with industry colleagues, future employers and potential business partners.
